Re: I Need USB Microphone Help!
Does the microphone work with Windows Sound Recorder? Which version of Audacity? (look in the Audacity "Help menu > About Audacity" for the exact version number). What do you currently have set in: "Edit menu > Preferences > Devices ("Audio I/O" in the old 1.2.6 version)"

Re: export project to work on in Cubase LE????
AIFF or WAV. I'd use WAV. Note that when you Export a track, any gap between the start of the recorded track and the zero seconds mark is discarded. For example, if your recorded track is 10 seconds long, but it does not start until "time=5 seconds" and then continues to "time=15 seco...

Re: I Need USB Microphone Help!
1) Make sure that the microphone is plugged in and recognised by Windows before you start Audacity.
2) Open Audacity and go to:
Edit menu > Preferences > Devices ("Audio I/O" in the old 1.2.6 version)
Set the recording and playback devices there.

Re: I cannot choose the mono on my track
Right idea, but looking in the wrong place.
From the main menu bar at the top:
Edit menu > Preferences > Audio I/0
Set "Channels" to "1 (mono)"
If your audio interface has more than one mic input, make sure that you use channel 1 (left).

Re: Slightly slowing down music?
Option 1: Get your turntable repaired. (best option) Option 2: Select a small sample of a recorded track and use the "Change Speed" effect set at "- 10" (that's "minus 10") and click OK. Have a listen to it - Too fast? > Press Ctrl+Z (undo) and try -12 Too slow? > Press...

Re: STEREO LEVELS NOT RIGHT (DESPERATE)
I bet this is going to turn out to be something stupidly simple, like having the mono-stereo button on the M-Audio the wrong way or something like that. You would certainly not be the first person to overlook something that is blatantly obvious (done it myself more times than I'd like to admit). and...

Re: Automatic record/save every hour?
No, not with Audacity. There may be other programs that can do this.r2d290 wrote: Is this yet posible to do?

Re: Microphone Sound Quality
Check the settings in the Operating System Mixer: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php?title=Mixer_Toolbar_Issues#Windows_Vista_and_Windows_7 Vista can be quite prone to driver problems, so check that your sound card drivers are up to date. (No one ever accuses Vista of being friendly for recordin...

Re: Download of "Manual".
The lock indicates that it is set as "Read Only". That should not be a problem as the "owner" of the file should be your account, so you can still delete it as normal (providing that you are logged into the computer with the same account details). does ubuntu have another unzip p...

Re: Help with fixing a poor quality interview
if it is not worth paying a pro to do it, then it is probably not worth the hundreds of hours it could take playing with it while using audacity at home. But what about all the fun, satisfaction and experience gained by doing it yourself :D (they come shortly after the pain, frustration and misery ...
