Re: Problem with live MIDI input

Audacity is an audio editor - it does not understand MIDI (because MIDI is not audio). To record sound from the keyboard with Audacity you need to connect an audio output from the keybo...

Re: Playback lags
I'd better move this to the 1.3.x part of the forum then (you posted in the 1.2.x section).tanquai wrote:I am using the 1.3 beta

Re: Playback lags
That sounds very weird. Is there a discontinuity in the time-space continuum or other anomalies like birds flying backwards? :ugeek: The movement of the playback meters would suggest that Audacity is playing the sound correctly, but there is some major delay occuring after the data has left Audacity...

Re: Audacity 1.2.6 dies on Quad Core AMD processor
When Audacity 1.2.6 was written, Quad core was science fiction. Have a go with the latest 1.3.x version of Audacity and see if that behaves better.

Re: Recording of a compressed Dolby Digital bitstream
Do you know any software that can read WAV files and display the audio samples with their values, like in an Excel spreadsheet ? I don't know if this is any use to you - it's a little "analyze" plug-in (appears in the Analyze menu) that I made for testing in another project. It creates a ...

Re: Lost audio after crash. Help! Please!
Yes, those orphaned files were your data, but even if you had not deleted them the chances of recovering the data were slim. Audacity 1.3.x is generally less prone to crashing, and much better at automatically recovering data after a crash than Audacity 1.2.x, but if if it does crash, and is unable ...

Re: Previous track records with new one...!?
You need to set your recording source to the input that you are using (mic/line) and not "stereo mix".
See here for info about setting the recording source: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php? ... ng_devices
