Re: Audacity 2.4.2: build failure on antix 4.9.160
I can reproduce the problem on Antix. I'm now looking to see if this is a general problem for 32-bit Linux, or if it is specific to Antix. If it's a general problem, then I expect that it can be fixed at our end. If it's specific to Antix then I'd guess that it's due to some missing dependency. Unfo...

Re: How to get maximum loudness for Youtube on voice recording?
With Audacity's "Loudness Normalization" effect, ensure that "perceived loudness" is selected, then the selected audio will be correctly normalized to the specified level. Note: For the exported audio file to have the same loudness level, it is essential that: 1. The project has ...

Re: audacity 2.4.2 slow under 10.15.6
Is this just a visual problem, or does it also affect the sound? That is; is the sound OK, or is it audibly slow and low pitched, or slow and broken?

Re: Error: failed to disconnect from DDE server gracefully...
As Audacity no longer officially supports Windows 7, the easiest solution, until you upgrade your computer, may be to use an older version of Audacity. See: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/legacy-windows/

Re: Can record one track - cannot record another one
In theory I should be able to do Shift-R and record a new track using my guitar as many times I as want to right? Yes, up to the point where your hardware can't keep up. On a modern machine that should be a lot of tracks. Have you tried my suggestion about 48000 Hz project rate? The outcome of that...

Re: Audacity does not play last little bit of sound
it occurred to me that if other apps like VLC can play the sound to the end, then the problem must be with Audacity and not with the sound server. I think that the problem is that Audacity has a rather unique way of handling audio data streams. Most audio applications connect to the sound system wh...

Did you obtain Audacity via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/
Did you use the "Audacity 2.4.2 installer" or the "Audacity 2.4.2 zip file"?

Re: How to find time location of Bleeps
I think you will need to supply an actual audio sample for us to be able to help you further.
A 10 second audio sample containing a typical bleep will be sufficient.
