Re: track settings different mono and stereo
Perhaps the vertical height of your tracks is too small to show the button. Grab the bottom of the track with the mouse and drag it down to make the track taller.

Re: Default .VOX sample rate
There is something strange here - I'm using Audacity 1.2.6 and have a VERY large number of .VOX files Audacity 1.2.6 does not support VOX (Dialogic ADPCM format). VOX files are probably supported by Audacity 1.3.11 but you need to have FFMpeg installed. http://manual.audacityteam.org/index.php?title...

Re: Problems with Cakewalk UA-1G and recording
Well that should be the computer side more or less ready (may still require a little tweaking, but it's close enough for now). So on to the mixer. Your mixer has 2 pairs of RCA outputs - the main out and the booth out. These outputs are pretty much the same except that the main out is controlled by ...

Re: Installation
I don't quite understand your question. However, many "driver disks" contain old/obsolete versions of Audacity. You are recommended to use the latest 1.3.11 version available here: http://audacityteam.org/download/

Re: Suggest ability to Save As an older .aup version
Audacity 1.3.x is portable.
Download the ZIP version of Audacity 1.3.11 and extract it onto your USB stick, then create an empty folder in the same directory as the audacity.exe file and name it "Portable Settings".

Re: Set/Change default save location in Windows 7
I don't think you can set that in Audacity.
BTW, you posted in the Audacity 1.2 part of the forum - I'll move it.

Re: Request: Skin
We decided this would not be in the next Stable 2.0 Release, so it will not be in the final Betas before 2.0 which we are now going through. The feature is too incomplete, and we lack resources to develop it further before 2.0. Also loading png's edited in some applications can crash Audacity. I im...

Remember to switch it back on if you do any mixing. The differences are subtle, but triangle dither gives good results.

Re: Adjusting gain of audio track's
You can use the Amplify Effect, or the Normalize effect (from the effects menu) or you can use the track volume slider. All of these will change the track playback level, but if the audio is already clipped they will not "un-distort" the audio, they will just make it play distorted more qu...
