Re: Help Me With My Thesis Project Please!
Effect > Truncate Silence will do that for you. You may need to "Join" the audio clips together before using "Truncate Silence". To join the clips, select the entire track (click below the track name, taking care not to move the volume or pan sliders) then press Ctrl+J I'm not s...

Re: imput volume
As waxcylinder has said - upgrade to 1.3.11 (probably won't make any difference to this issue, but fixes several others). Go into the Windows Control Panel and find the "Sounds" section. Somewhere in there there is probably an option for "20dB boost" (or just "boost") f...

Re: Problems with Windows 7
Try the headphone socket on the front first (it's easier to get at). Hopefully plugging in your headphones will bring the "RealTek High Definition Audio - Headphones" output to life in the Windows Control Panel "Playback" section. Sounds playing through the headphones should be a...

That's only possible for the forum administrator(s) and they want to keep the design and layout quite "clean".
One of the easiest ways to keep track of topics that you are interested in is to use the "bookmark"/"favourites" feature in your web browser.

Re: Notch Filter Preference and Tinnitus
Back in the days when we made filters from resistors, capacitors, some wire and a soldering iron, a "Notch Filter" was typically based on a "Twin T" circuit. The idea of this circuit is that it was "perfectly" tuned to filter out one frequency. Of course in reality it w...

Check the manufacturers web site and see if there is an updated sound card driver available.

Re: Is there a way
No, that's it. As far as I'm aware Audacity 1.2.6 doesn't pop up the tag data editor and there is no setting for that.
Perhaps we're talking of different things - can you give me a step by step method to produce the problem?
