Re: Crummy sounding MP3 Exports

if a project is created (or modified) in 1.3, will 1.2.6 still be able to read it? Audacity 1.2.6 can not open a project that has been saved by Audacity 1.3. Re: Whine on USB mixer only when Aud is monitoring

I wonder if you are picking up interference from your monitor or graphics card. Try minimising Audacity while it is recording and see if you still get the noise.

Re: Crummy sounding MP3 Exports

If you use the latest versions of Audacity and Lame for Audacity you can make better sounding MP3s by using VBR (variable bit rate) encoding. The preset "Standard" should give reasonable sound for stereo music.

Re: mp3's Fail to load & cause Audacity to freeze

Is this with all MP3s?
How big are the MP3s?
What about other file formats such as WAV?
How much free disk space do you have?
How much free RAM do you have?
Do you get a lot of disk activity while this is happening?

Re: Audacity crashes when I use noise removal.

I should have said "Sample", but that is only when I do a "Select All" I've no idea what you mean. You realise that using Noise Removal is a 2 step process? Step 1) - select a region of noise only and press "Get Noise Profile" (nothing visible happens) Step 2) - select...
