Re: Missing Change Tempo and Change Pitch
The last build that I did was on a "virgin" install of "Ubuntu minimal" with not much more than ALSA and LXDE desktop added. I used the commands listed in my last post and the Audacity 1.3.12 RC1 minimal tarball which is available here: http://code.google.com/p/audacity/downloads...

Re: Recording too many MB for CD
80 minutes of audio requires 846,720,000 bytes of data - although you can cram a bit more data onto a disk when recording as an audio format, it is ambitious to try and stuff a whole 80 minutes onto a disk. I always like to leave a bit of room at the edge of the disk so generally keep to a limit of ...

Re: Label- Slows down and stops program
This does appear to be a limitation in Audacity. I've just tried entering several hundred words into labels and as you say the program slows down considerably. For some reason handling labels seems to use a lot of CPU power and with enough labels I get one processor running at 100% for several minut...

I also installed 3.5.9 There is no "Audacity 3.5.9". Same problem. Not the "same problem" - dinosaur was very specific that he only got the problem on his 64 bit system. What you have is "similar symptoms", but the cause may not be the same. dinosaur was talking about ...

Re: Crackling Noise Overdubs; Realtek/Windows Twilight Zone
I have the computer connected as "Tape 2", i.e. computer output to amp "Tape 2 Input" and amp "Tape 2 Output" to computer "line in". Ah, now there is a possible problem/confusion there - it depends on what signal routing goes on in the amplifier. Do we know f...

Re: Help please: Audacity Closes when I Amplify
Although 1.2.6 is labelled "stable", it is not stable on Vista, Win 7, or some of the new Macs. (it was good back in the days of Windows 98
)
Upgrade to Audacity 1.3.11 and with a bit of luck the problem will magically disappear.
