Re: new mixer bought trying to record
It should work with either, but the booth output may have a separate "control room/booth" volume level (it should tell you in the manual). The "tape" output should be a direct mix from the desk and when you have the main mix registering on the meters up to 0dB the output from the...

Re: DJ Mix - Is this possible
I've just spotted that the only option in the drop down box is Microphone. I'm currently connected through a UCA202 to the USB, with no microphone input. However, when I click record on Audacity, it does record - is this correct ? Doesn't sound right to me. In my Windows properties the mixer device...

Re: new mixer bought trying to record
Why not use the "Tape" output? (see page 6 of the mixer user manual).jamie23 wrote:The send/return jacks on the mixer are intended for use with the effects channel, so I would use the Booth Output to connect to the sound card.

Re: DJ Mix - Is this possible
You want the easiest way to do this? You have worked out (or at least don't need help at the moment) with making each half? So you just need to know how you will be able to make the two halves fit together (cross-fade or whatever) so that it sounds seamless and not two halves? If I've got the questi...

Re: Export as WAV
Make sure that you just use normal characters (alpha-numeric, space, underscore and hyphen) in the file name. My guess is that the file name includes a slash "/" and Windows is reading that as a path name delimiter. If you thave C:/My Documents/Music/ my/file.wav where "my/file.wav&qu...

Re: Is my setup Okay for a live DJ recording?
Using Audacity 1.3.11 Go to "Edit menu > Preferences > Quality" and set the default to 44800/44100 16/32bit (32 bit gives the highest quality if you want to edit/process the sound in any way. 44100 is CD standard. 48000 is DVD standard). Make your recording - it will use the default settin...

Re: Trouble getting the software to record, windows 7 comput
I checked in the Edit --> preferences section of Audacity and when I go to "Devices", under "Recording" it says "No devices found" in the "Device" drop down menu. In the Windows Control Panel you need to enable the microphone recording input. See here: http:/...
