Re: Ogg quality
When you use "Chains", the Ogg compression settings will be whatever was used last. If it is a fresh Audacity installation and Ogg Export has never been used the default is "5". Which Export dialogue do you mean? Could you provide a screenshot, please? File menu > Export > select...

Re: Lame library won't install correct
Try the ZIP version of Lame - download and extract it into the same folder as audacity.exe, then go to Audacity Preferences to locate it.

Re: Audio Playback
Audacity 1.2 does not support WMV files. You need to use Audacity 1.3.11 and also install FFMpeg.

Re: Recording Issues
See this manual - it's a different make but will probably be similar - you may not be adjusting the volume in the right place: http://www.lenco.eu/attachments/003_USB ... 7%20EN.pdf

Re: New Vinyl Getting Skips
Marantz is a good name, and if it is still in good working condition it will probably knock the spots off USB TTs. If it is belt driven, check the condition of the belt - they tend to deteriorate over time and may need replacing. Also check that everything that should be able to move is able to move...
