Are you sure about that?
"Sample Rates" refer to the uncompressed audio sample rate.
16kbps is a very low quality bit rate - way below "telephone quality".
The MP3 format does not support 44100Hz sample rate at 16kbps.

Re: budget (usb) mic for classical guitar recording needed

I don't want to filter it, just trying to avoid the source of it How about placing the microphone a little lower? Sometimes it's easier to position the microphone lower if you turn it upside down so that it's "hanging" rather than standing up. I have to muffle the A string with my thumb s...

I've got the ponytail (no flip-flops - too wet and cold here) :) Let's have a look at a couple of spectra (spectrums in the vernacular). (BTW, if you click on these images it should expand the pictures to remove the scroll bars) First lets look at "34-art-usb-sample2-stairway". This one so...

Re: Delay when recording

but then when im done recording, it moves it to the right a little and its off track. If the track is moving to the right then you have latency correction set too high . The bigger the latency correction number, the more Audacity will move the track to the right. The more negative the latency corre...
