Re: Mono only problem
Looks like it. The obvious thing to check first is that you've not accidentally switched the H2 into mono recording. (See page 43 of the Zoom H2 user manual.)

Re: Posting Sound
4 seconds is tight, but usually sufficient. Flac or Zip would almost double that. Are Flac files allowed?

Re: Audacity Stereo Mini Jack To USB Recording Suite (UK)
Audacity records uncompressed data. The default data format is 32 bit 48kHz stereo, but can be set by the user to 16 or 24 bit and any sample rate up to 200kHz. Audacity does not record directly to an audio file, but creates "Audacity Projects" which consist of a project file, and a folder...

Re: noise problem
I bet the usb interface inside the SC440 is probably very similar if not identical to the t.bone usb micplug.. I was thinking along the very same lines, and did a side by side comparison of the recording by Utix with one of your MicPlug recordings. The recording distance sounds similar to what you ...

Re: recording 'jumps'
or the software cannot keep up with the inputs resulting in missed bits of the recording. There's a high likelihood that you're close to the mark there. It's probably not the software, but this sounds like you have a data bottleneck somewhere. USB devices can be rather prone to this - are you using...

Re: noise problem
I see what you mean - it's certainly more ssss than I'd expect. USB microphones should bypass the sound card altogether, but I'm wondering if somehow you're picking up additional noise from the sound card. What sort of computer are you using? A laptop? What operating system? Windows Vista? Which ver...

The Mac will be fine, just checking that your not stuck on an antique. As for the other one - I could take it off your hands if you like.. say, $50 ? or swap it for my lovely Pentium III 500MHz :D OK enough of the frivolities, I'm sure you're itching to get on with this. Remember I was saying that w...
Re: No Sound
It looks like you have Audacity set up correctly, so the problem will probably be on the sound card side. On your computer, the cable that's plugged into the tape deck should connect to the "line in" socket on your computer - this is usually colour coded light blue and is usually on the ba...
