Re: Import stereo track bug?
Because when playing the exact same file in any music player program, like iTunes or WMP, both tracks are heard. The mp3 file is a song with two guitars playing, one playing chords and one playing a melody. The one playing chords is heard in the left speaker and the one playing a melody is heard in...

You could be right - I've not messed with these for a lot of years and I've been to bed since then.kozikowski wrote:I don't agree,

Re: Enhancing digital piano sound
That's a lot better isn't it. As you say, there is still a bit of distortion, for example at 15 to 16 seconds. The level of the mix at this point is sufficiently below 0dB so I suspect that the piano track was recorded a little too loud and was distorted before you got to the stage of mixing. Conver...

Re: Audacity 1.2.6 and Exporting as FLAC
The other Audacity silence generator was a breeze:highlight a section, clear the current time and type in .08...done. Do you want to replace the current selection with 0.8 seconds of silence or insert 0.8 seconds of silence? To insert silence - don't make a selection, just click on the track where y...

Re: how to merge two or more tracks into one?
Create Silence, which I'd like to make key binding for. How do I do that? Unfortunately that is not yet implemented. It is in the "highest rated" section of the "Feature Request" page on the Audacity wiki. * Bind effect parameters to buttons or keyboard shortcuts: including part...

Re: Multitrack recording - direct to Audacity or external de
I guess there's no denying that asio is the de facto standard if you move in the direction of professional equipment and multi-channel. On Windows computers ASIO is required to provide the level of performance required by the professional audio market. Well designed WDM drivers are capable of prett...

Re: The audio sounds like crud
The setting i selected said, "1 channel, 16 bit, 44100 mhz, (CD Quality|)" There should be an option to set it to "2 channels" - If you set it to 2 channels you can record in stereo but 1 channel will only record mono (Audacity may still look like it's recording stereo but both ...

Re: no line in option on mixer toolbar
I connected the UCA200 in my computer, used the RCA cable (UCA-out into the cd/tape in and vice-versa in my mixer). I'm not sure what you mean. What are you trying to record - and how is it connected? Where does the keyboard fit in? Outputs should always connect to inputs and inputs connect to outp...
