Re: Acoustic guitar recording
There's an SOS review of the T-Bone SCT2000 (and Retro Tube) here: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/may06/articles/tbonemics.htm I've also used the SCT2000 and I agree with everything he has to say about it. Bare in mind that he is comparing it with a microphone that is over 7 times the price of the ...

Re: Trying to run 1.3.5 and 1.3.7 side by side in Windows XP
Uninstalling Audacity 1.3 is pretty straightforward. The only bit that is in the dreaded registry is the file-type association but you can also get to that through "Folder Options" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307859 The other bits of the uninstall are to delete the audacity folder that...

Re: What can be done if no sound?
If "centre pan removal" (either with the vocal removal effect, or doing it manually with inverting and so on) produces silence (a flat blue line and no sound) then it means that the left and right channels of the sound are identical . Or to put it another way, it is "2 channel mono&qu...

Re: Trying to run 1.3.5 and 1.3.7 side by side in Windows XP
My recommendation would be to remove them both and install Audacity 1.3.12 - it has several important bug fixes and a few nice new features and other improvements.

Since you're on Windows, try CDBurnerXP (it's free and a very good CD burner).

Re: Importing raw files into audacity gives a lot of clippin
what other kinds of ADPCM are around? "Microsoft ADPCM", "IMA ADPCM", "Dialogic ADPCM", "G721", "G726" and "G727" are some that I've heard of - there's probably a lot more. Your file certainly appears to be some flavour of ADPCM, but furth...

Re: Audacity dj mix recording mono problem
You should upgrade to Audacity 1.3.12, then you need to say which version of Windows you are using. If you are using Vista or Windows 7 there is a setting in the Windows Control Panel to set recording to mono/stereo (and it usually defaults to mono). See here for some tips on using the Windows Contr...

Re: Poll: Typing into label tracks without CTRL + B first
For the poll, I'm a regular Ctrl+B, Ctrl+M kind of guy.
I'd not actually noticed that you could just click and type, but having tried it out today I'm happy sticking with Ctrl+B/M.

How did you find that out? There are other types of ADPCM as well as VOX ADPCM.bartvbl wrote:I have found out that the data type is VOX ADPCM.
I've tried several options using Sox but without knowing the exact format it's just guesswork and no success so far.
