Re: Help Building a Plugin
Since you're interested in Nyquist programming it may be worth signing up to the Audacity-Nyquist mailing list. It is a very low volume e-mail list that you send e-mails to and receive e-mails from other list subscribers. It's not actually used very much, but there are occasionally interesting thing...

Re: Distortion when recording from USB turntable
I can't tell you exactly how to do this in Windows 7 as I am still an XP user, sorry. Open the .AUP in a text editor (it's just text inside, but don't change anything).
Copy the first half dozen lines from the file and paste into your reply.

Re: Professional Sound
I am hearing alot about compressors/compression. What is that exactly and where can I go to get more information on that subject? As with all effects, it has it's uses and abuses. Effects can easily, but should not be overdone. See here for info on dynamic compression: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...

That message means that Audacity is unable to access a sound device with your current settings. I can't really say more without knowing what sound device you are trying to use and what your settings are (both in Audacity and the sound settings in Windows). It would also be useful to know what versio...

Re: saving as MP3
If you are getting the message "Unable to Export, All the audio is muted." then it is because all of the tracks in Audacity are muted (silenced). You need to un-mute the tracks that you want to export. Click on the "Mute" button on the left side of the track to un-mute it.
