Re: no recoridng anymore

Well I don't speak Dutch, but I can read it well enough to see that we can't set "Stereo-mix" from here. Either in the "Taskbar Notification Area" (near the "Time/Date") or in the Control Panel you should be able to access the RealTek mixer. It does a similar job to the...

"Vote early, vote often" :D No, let's keep it honest ;) You need to register to be able to write to the wiki. If you are registered, or would like to register, go ahead and add your vote. If not, I can add it for you. BTW, unless you still use Windows 98, it is highly recommended to upgrad...

Re: Playback speed wrong, but pitch correct!

I think what is happening is that you are trying to record in stereo, but Windows 7 is trying to record in mono, so a "mono" data buffer is sending data alternately to one channel then the other resulting in each channel only having half the amount of data that it should have. This will ex...

Re: Anyway to tweak the EQs in real time (as the audio plays

Unfortunately not, though in Audacity 1.3.12 you can increase the length of the "preview" by going to "Edit menu > Preferences > Playback tab". Personally I think this is a really important feature that is missing from Audacity and is among the most commonly requested features on...

Re: Playback speed wrong, but pitch correct!

I have an idea of what may be causing the problem if the playback speed is exactly 2 times the correct speed. I suspect it is a driver/Windows configuration problem and it could take some digging to fix it. Before we delve too deep, could you run a test to check that I'm not heading in the wrong dir...

lots of electric guitar folks like to record that way
"Traktor" is DJ software. Using a microphone to record from the speakers would be a terrible way to record in terms of sound quality.

Re: Headphone problem

Native Instruments have done their best to make it impossible to record the Traktor LE unless you upgrade to Traktor Pro. http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/products/dj/traktor-le/?page=662 If you are able to record the Traktor LE at all you are doing well, but I assume that from your post the p...

Re: Missing Audio

Audacity Projects are made of two parts: 1) The .AUP file 2) The audio data. The .AUP file does not contain any audio. It is like a "score" that arranges all of the data fragments to create the project. The audio data may either be in the project "_data" folder, or may be externa...
