Re: recording stops after a few seconds

You have given very little information to work with. Which version of Windows, what sort of sound card, what are you trying to record, what s...

On board sound cards are usually pretty low qual...

Re: no recoridng anymore
In the former attachment you have in the left under corner a mechanic tool. If you point this you get "Mixer Tool Bar" and if you click on this you will get the new attachment hereby. As you can see I ticket (left under) "Enable recording multi streaming." The "mechanic too...

Re: Recording Multiple Sources @ the Same Time
To do that in Audacity you need to either: 1) Use "Stereo Mix"/"What U Hear" (not available on some Vista/Windows 7 computers) 2) Use an external mixer so that you can output the game sounds into the mixer and plug your microphone into the mixer and plug the mixer output into the...

(by the way, for future reference on W7: Control Panels -> Sound. Click "Recording" tab, right click device and select Properties, Click "Advanced" tab. Setting is there.) Thanks - useful feedback. FYI: As a test, I set Audacity to Mono, 1 channel, and it did the same thing, alt...
