Re: Text Envelope 0.8 beta
I think it's better to use a (single) carriage return only for paragraphs, and indicate a line break with n. OK, done that. Instead of " as text in the form 't1 a1 t2 a2 ... tn an' " for GUI explanation of "Intermediate Control Points", how about "pairs of time and amplitud...

Text Envelope
Well it turned out to be more of a challenge than anticipated, but finally it's here. A Nyquist plug-in that allows envelopes to be created via text entry. This plug-in is basically complete, but requires a bit of tidying of the code. This is a version 3 plug-in and requires Audacity 1.3.x New featu...

Re: Help me with making a FM-AM RADIO talk simulation sound
Some of the Olmpus digital recorders are capable of very good quality recording, but we have not heard an unprocessed recording yet so we can't jump to any conclusions.

Re: Audio Filtering Question
If you hiss (say "sssss") you are creating mostly high frequency sound. (treble) If you say "mmmm" on a fairly high note, you are creating mostly medium frequency sound. If you say "mmmm" on a really low note, you are creating mostly low frequency sound. (bass) Sound fr...

Re: Help me with making a FM-AM RADIO talk simulation sound
A "clean", unprocessed, recording with no effects of any kind would really help people to make some useful suggestions. Without knowing what your source material is, there is not much that anyone can suggest for enhancing it.kozikowski wrote:Can you post a clean voice sample somewhere?

Re: Nyquist Experiment: SND-CONST
Hi dondiego, you have been very thorough. A few comments on your findings: (snd-const value t0 srate duration) http://www.audacity-forum.de/download/edgar/nyquist/nyquist-doc/manual/part6.html#index476 The first parameter is not a frequency, it is just the height of the samples on the vertical scale...

As I am new in this field I donot know where to post my queries. No problem - topic moved. Usually if you are using Audacity 1.3 on Windows you should post in the "Audacity 1.3.x (Beta) > Windows" part of the forum. Thanks for the screenshot - that shows the problem clearly. The right cha...

Re: Volume issues when recording with Mixmeister
Sorry I can't help with Mixmeister as I've never used it, but you can mix audio and vocals in Audacity. Here's a tutorial for how to do it - it is talking about making PodCasts, but the process is the same for other mixing. http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Creating_a_simple_voice_and_music_Podcast_...
Re: clippings
If you can tell us which version of Audacity and what operating system you are using I can move this post to the right part of the forum. The "Forum Issues" board is for questions and suggestions regarding the software used to run this Internet forum. It is not for help using Audacity, or ...

Re: Trim not working
Instead of Pause, press SHIFT+A
This will stop playback, but will leave the cursor in the current position.
SHIFT+A = Play/Stop and set cursor.
