Why do you prefer it? What advantage does it have?

Re: Text Envelope 0.8 beta
I'm considering adding support for parentheses to be used in the intermediate control point list, so that control points can be added in the form:
(time , amplification)
for example:
(1,0)(2,-6)(-2,-6)(-1,0)
Any comments?

Re: Vocal, and Saving
Audacity 1.3.x can open projects that have been created in Audacity 1.2.x, but Audacity 1.2.x does not support the format used by the newer 1.3.x version (because Audacity 1.3 uses features that are not present in Audacity 1.2). "Vocal Removal" is very dependant on the source material - it...

Re: portion of sounds missing
You may be getting "phase reversal" somewhere in the system.
Does the recording sound OK when you play it in Audacity (before exporting the file)?
How are you listening? Headphones? Speakers? how are they connected?

Re: Mp3 Export Problem
I presume that you mean that the exported file name is OK, but the track name in Zune is displayed as dots? If that's the case, then my guess is that Zune is getting the name from the metatag data (id3 tags) rather than from the file name. As with most other software, Audacity 1.2 does not support m...

Re: Separating CD output from Phones signals mix
Set the monitor controls on the mixer to listen to PFL (pre-fader level) and mute (or turn the fader level down to zero) on the microphone channel. Connect the "CD/Tape out", or the "Main output" or "Alt 3/4" output from the mixer to your computer (not the control room ...

Re: Mic On Monitor Problem
I have this one classical music song that I use to relax, Is that an audio file on your computer such as a WAV file, an MP3 or a WMA file? If it is, what sort of file is it? (right click on the file, select "Properties" and look at the "Advanced" properties). If it's not an audi...

Re: move cursor with right arrow key
(I've moved this topic and removed the duplicate)
Try resetting the keyboard bindings.
"Edit menu > Preferences > Keyboard"
Click on the "defaults" button (you may not see anything happen).
Restart Audacity.
Test the keys.

Re: Novation Nio to Audacity
The Novation Nio effects are created in software, not in the Nio hardware. I presume that you have the recording input in Audacity set to record from the USB (in "Edit menu > Preferences > Audio I/0" and in the recording input setting of your sound card). What's happening is that Audacity ...
