Re: restore my audio

I tested it at HOME and problem was LOW CUT-filter !!! That's not a feature that I've tested at high volume - the only time I've used that is when close mic'ing speech when I've not had a pop shield available. It seems like a bad design fault if the low cut filter causes distortion at high volume (...

Re:Looper-Echo

They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so here's another plug-in. What it does is very similar to the "KRONx ECHO LOOPER" described below - basically it is an echo type effect created by multiple delays but configured primarily with looping in mind. The main differences...

Re: sliding speechange

The sliding pitch/speed change in Audacity 1.3.12 can change tempo independently of pitch. The quality is as about as good as you will get anywhere, but the current version is very slow and has a bug in it - make sure you back-up before you use it. (There is a new version being developed that is a l...

Re: restore my audio

In that case I think that either the switch may be faulty, or it slipped to a different position when you were recording. Try testing the Zoom at Low/Medium/High settings - the recording at the Low setting should be considerably quieter than at Medium. I've recorded some very loud rock music on my Z...

Re: After Pause why does Stop move the cursor?

I think that phenomenon may be due to the audio buffers and as you say the discrepancy will be small. If that is the problem then the way to avoid it may be to use the square brackets "[" and "]" to mark the position, though I'd be surprised if a shift of a small fraction of a se...

Re: restore my audio

The recording has overloaded and I don't think that it will be possible to repair. To avoid the problem next time, turn the "Mic Gain" switch on the side of the H2 to "L" (Low). If when you do that the recording level is too low, increase the recording level using the >> button o...

Re: If i uninstall and re-install will I lose my audacity fi

So does anyone know why the problem of it crashing on pressing stop recording has become more and more frequent? Not really, though you can set Audacity 1.2.6 back to a fresh installation by resetting the Audacity Preferences. Unfortunately the preferences in Audacity 1.2.6 are buried in the cursed...

Re: Ubuntu 7.10 (I know) audacity won't record

I suspect that the suggestions in those posts may not be relevant - I'm not sure but I think Ubuntu 7.10 may pre-date Ubuntu using PulseAudio. @ xavieronassis Have a look in ALSA mixer to see what recording inputs ALSA shows as being available. To open ALSA Mixer for the default sound card, open a t...

Re: change tempo/speed/pitch: which will shorten LENGTH?

I see what you mean BG, yes I guess that may be the issue. "Change Speed" does not operate on white space. I guess we'll have to wait for djeddieo to confirm if this is what is happening. To change the speed of multiple tracks that contain white space it is necessary to convert the white s...
