Re: am trying beta; only recording in mono

When you say "it is recording in Mono not Stereo" do you mean that 1) it is recording a single channel mono track, or 2) that it is recording a 2 channel stereo track but that both channels are identical, or 3) do you mean that it is recording a stereo track but one channel is silent? What...

Re: Not able to "Save Project As"

How much free disk space do you have?
What is the name that you are trying to save the project as?
Where are you trying to save it to (what is the directory)?

Re: Recommondation for a Chorus Live Concert in a Church

How about giving you both about 10 Minutes or so of the recording, incl. singing, claps and speaking. That would be a good idea - you may get contributions from other users as well. Since you mention camera clicks, perhaps you could include a few of them as well. Unfortunately you cannot upload mor...

Re: Submit your EQ Curves

Thanks for your contribution whomper, but what is really needed are the actual XML files.
Could you make the XML files for those settings and upload them here as described?

Re: [1.3.12] Does Audacity 1.3.12 support GSnap?

I'll move this topic (you posted in the Audacity 1.2 part of the forum). Yes GSnap does work with Audacity 1.3.12, though the MIDI features are not available (Audacity does not support MIDI). I've used it with Audacity 1.3.12 on Windows XP (SP3). The VST enabler should not be installed. What setting...

Re: How to amplify certain sounds and decrease volume on oth

What you are asking for is a little short of magic. Probably the closest that you will get is to even the volume level out so that the quiet parts are a bit louder. You can try Chris's Dynamic Compressor ( http://pdf23ds.net/software/dynamic-compressor/ ) for doing this. (Use a high "compress r...

Re: Track Tags: can you move them or delete them?

I presume that you mean track "labels".
Yes, you can.
For editing labels in Audacity 1.2.x see here: http://audacityteam.org/manual-1.2/tracks_label.html

No, that is not supported in Audacity.
You may have more success with Reaper http://www.reaper.fm/

Re: How to start recording at startup?

Probably easier to do with Sox http://sox.sourceforge.net/
I've not tried it, but it may be possible to start recording with Sox from a simple .BAT file, though I would guess that you would need to ensure that the script did not run until after the sound card had initialised.

Submit your EQ Curves

DOWNLOADS: The latest (still experimental) 78 RPM EQ Curve Generator can be downloaded by clicking this link . Many moons ago there was a feature request for a way to import/export Equalization curves (without needing to manually edit the EQCurves.xml file). This feature is now available in the lat...
