Your call, but people who want to push the envelope could instead be made to change the ny file.... I think that most novice users are likely to accept the limits of the slider range (many users do not even realise that values can be typed into the text box of slider widgets), but the dire warning ...

get a conversion program and change them to mp3 MP3 is a lossy format and will reduce the sound quality. To record 2 microphones onto different channels, you either need a mixer that allows you to pan one microphone all the way to the left and the other microphone all the way to the right, or you need a sound card that has 2 microphone inputs. You can then record a stereo track - this will have one mic...

Do you have libmad installed? (and it's development headers)
These need to be installed before configuring Audacity for MP3 export to be enabled.

In Audacity 1.3.12 you can add markers (labels) during recording with Ctrl+M

If you wish to add text to the marker (label) just type the required text after pressing Ctrl+M, then press ENTER to "close" the label text.
