Re: Multi-channel audio USB driver development
I'm not a programmer myself, but it's my understanding that writing good drivers is a rather specialised field. I would expect that very few, if any, of users of this forum will have any experience in this. If you don't get much response here you could try writing directly to the developers mailing ...

Re: Automatic split during recording
So i think lots of small audio files is worse than 1 big file. Not necessarily. It depends on what you are doing with the audio files. If you have lots of audio clips on lots of tracks, then that will be tough going because Audacity has to allow for data in every track, even if the track is silent....

Re: I need a G711 file format
Audacity is not a very good batch format converter - it is primarily designed for editing, not converting. You would do much better to use a program that is specifically designed for batch conversions such as Switch http://www.nch.com.au/switch/index.htmlAndresDVe wrote:i must export a 3.000 files!

Re: Sample Printer
I found another typo "amout" (fixed in attached). Thanks. Best suggestion I have at the moment is the attached "Unique, pre-existing output pathn(writes to current folder if empty/invalid)" with a suggested path of C:/ That sounds as good as anything else. I prefer it to leaving...

Re: Automatic tags in metadata editor
but in the past I have opened an entire album of songs in seperate windows (file>open>select all...) and their basic metadata has remained intact and distinct? I rarely use metadata, but as far as I'm aware Audacity has always held only one set of metadata for the project. However, if you import a ...

Re: Soundcard to record "what you hear" in Win 7 with Audaci
Hi ignatz, You've probably read my review of the Behringer UCA 202 on this forum - I'd have no hesitation in recommending it as a good, inexpensive no-frills sound card for Windows XP, Vista or Linux, but I've not tried it on Windows 7 so you will need to check for Windows 7 support if you decide to...

Re: Corrupt Audacity file + Audacity no longer works
The good news is that the project appears to be fine. That means that the bad news is that your Audacity installation on Windows 7 is broken in some way.
Are you able to open Audacity normally (on the Win 7 PC) and start a new project?

Re: How do I Listen Live as I'm Recording
I'm using a usb microphone and headphones plugged into my computer. By listening to myself, I mean as I would in a studio where I can hear my own voice as I'm speaking into the microphone. By hearing myself live, I can hear my tonal adjustments as needed by the script. I thought that might be what ...
