Apparently that will be corrected in the next Audacity release (it should of course be -2.0 to transpose from A down to G).brainstrain wrote:Just tried transposing from A down to G. I had to put +2.0 in the pitch shift boxes.

You mean in some way other than looking at the waveform?dr_flam wrote:I would like to know if I can derive Attack, Sustain and decay parameters of a drum shot with Audacity.

Re: HoTo keep last Export Selection remembered ?
That should happen automatically as long as Audacity closes normally and does not crash.darius2 wrote:Is there any chance to set Audacity to keep last Export Selection directory remembered

Re: Can I watch the wav and apply EQ in real time?
In Audacity, when you apply an effect (any effect) it is only applied to the current selection.
By default, if there is NO selection, then Audacity will automatically select everything and then apply the effect. (This behaviour can be switched off in the "Tracks" section of Preferences).

Re: Cut MB from 36 to under 25 to enable email
When you import a compressed audio file into Audacity, it is decoded into uncompressed audio data. When you export from Audacity to a compressed format (such as MP3), it is the (uncompressed) audio data within the Audacity project that is encoded, not the original MP3 file. In that sense it is irrel...

Re: [1.3.12] Does Audacity 1.3.12 support GSnap?
The display on the left of the GSnap interface provides real-time visual output of what the effect is doing. Audacity does not support real-time effects, so not surprisingly the real-time display does not work correctly. To use GSnap with all the features working you need to use a VST host program t...

Re: 1.2.6 noise removal superior to 1.3.6 ??
1. Select a noise profile. 2. Set the amount of distortion you're willing to accept in the final show. 3. Go. The software tries all the possible combinations of all the tools and variables and selects the best parameters that achieve the desired work...while I'm making a cuppa. Sounds like a new f...

Re: Filter Success = Sound Format Quality?
<<<Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift>>> What does that mean? I got the Pitch Shift thing. Increasing the sample rate before applying Pitch shift appears to produce a slight improvement to the sound quality, but so slight as to be hardly worth the effort. The "Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift" ...

A good idea to keep it here, but how about another post in the Nyquist section, perhaps with a bit more explanation about the code and how it works?Irish wrote:Maybe this should really go in the Nyquist section of the forum, but I thought it better to keep the thread together.
