Re: help with audacity

Re: Does transfering audio between computers ruin sound qual

Transfering data does not loose quality, but decoding and re-encoding into a lossy format does reduce quality. Not being a Zune user I don't know if Zune will allow you to directly transfer data or if it is decoded/re-encoded during the transfer process. You may also need to check if there are any i...

Re: help with audacity

can you tell me why the line is straight. its because Audacity is not getting a signal, or the signal is so small that it is not registering. The good side is that it indicates that Audacity is working. The bad side is that it indicates that the computer sound system is still not configured correct...

When you have FFmpeg installed, try directly importing a VOB file (not the very small VOB file that is on most DVDs as that will probably not have any audio in it). I'm not sur...

I think that must be a bug. Audacity is not recognising Nyquist plug-ins with an upper case .NY file extension.

Glad you've got it working, and thanks for letting us know what the problem was.

Re: Recording in Mono

The Rode NT1A is a mono microphone, so no problem with recording it as a mono track. When you burn a CD you need to set the type of CD to be an "audio CD" (not a "data CD" as most CD players will not play data CDs). When you burn an audio CD, if the source file is mono, then the ...
