Re: Memory leak

Recording to RAM should really only be used for machines that have slow hard drives, and it is not an ideal solution because Audacity will run much better if it has as much RAM as possible available for processing rather than it being taken up by recording. Re: Audacity size constraints

You don't second mic to add reverb You can use one close up microphone for a "dry" recording of the voice and one or two microphones to pick up "room ambiance". It can work very well and produce the most natural sounding ambiance (light reverb), providing that the room is very q...

Re: Export results in blank sound.

Open your Audacity Project and check that it is playing correctly.
Assuming that it's OK,
Set the Project Rate to 44100 (bottom right corner of the main Audacity window),

Re: new user - editing MP3 files

I tried boosting the gain a bit in Audacity but found it added too much distortion. Re: Export results in blank sound.

Have you managed to record something successfully? and does it play correctly in Audacity? If so, exactly what are you doing to export it? It may also be useful to know exactly which version of Windows and which version of Audacity you are using - the Audacity version is shown in the Audacity "...

Re: I get a watery sound when removing noise in audacity

The current version is Noise Gate v.2.2. (Koz - PM sent)
Personally I thought that the Noise Removal worked very well on that recording.

Re: wave is really small

-24 dB will show up very small because it is a very low level. A good level to record at is with the peaks reaching about half way up the track display, which is equivalent to a peak level of about -6 dB. The meter toolbar can be grabbed with the mouse and moved around and stretched by clicking and ...

I don't know, but if you post what settings you used I'll check it out. (I presume the sound sample that you posted is the one to test on?)
