This is really useful.
It's also obsolete.

With Audacity 2.4.2, all tracks should be automatically in sync by default.

Re: Version 2.4.2, Opening an mp3 file for editing - something about FFmpeg

I think I know what's wrong, but I'm not sure what it looks like on Windows. Please do this: 1. Launch Audacity 2. "File menu > Import > Audio" 3. Select the file "test-tone-1000Hz.mp3" but DO NOT click the "Open" button - stop at this point with the browser window open...

I have also noticed that the sample rate settings in the Sound control panel may sometimes change without me changing them. I don't know if it's something that Windows Update m...

Re: Delay with bpm and panning

Google Translate: It differs in the sense that with too low a dekay only the first delay is heard. With the mix control I can set a decay of -6 dB or less, and with this I don't have that much difference between one echo and another. I will explain an example that has happened to me. I have configur...

Re: unable to listen to track while recording

checked the rate in the bottom left is 44100 and hasnt been changed Did you check the sample rate in the Windows Sound control panel? The thing that causes the problem (on some machines) is when the settings don't match. There are three "sample rate" settings that should all be the same: ...

Re: Challenges using under Linux Mint

If this is an issue with 2.3.3, is it possible for me to uninstall and reinstall 2.2.1-1? I think the best solution would be to build Audacity 2.4.2 from the source code. If cmake version 3.15 or later is available from your package manager, then building Audacity is quite straightforward - I've wr...

Re: Challenges using under Linux Mint

I am running Linux Mint 20 (as a VM) and running Audacity 2.3.3 as installed via package management. I assume that's using the Ubuntu 20.04 build of Audacity . Unfortunately they built Audacity 2.3.3 with GTK3, which is not fully supported by Audacity and known to cause graphical glitches on some m...

Re: Slow/laggy interface

Ensure that Audacity, and ".AU" files are whitelisted in your antivirus. If your antivirus is checking every .AU file, that will have a massive detrimental affect on Audacity's performance.
