Re: Recovering files
<<<copy a picture and paste it on the clipboard as it was playing.>>> I wonder if the system didn't try to make this performance into a movie file. Can you tell what kind of icon is associated with the file? Instead of forcing it to play in Audacity, what happens if you just double click it? Or hav...

Re: Recovering files
I was listening to the .wav file on MusicMatch Jukebox and somehow, an impetus in my mind drove me to copy a picture and paste it on the clipboard as it was playing. I didn't know the result was that it would corrupt the file and I will confess to being a dolt for it It seems rather surprising that...

Re: Help needed exporting multiple files to MP3 at once
Audacity 1.3.5 is an obsolete version. Update to Audacity 1.3.12 and see if you still have a problem.
You can get Audacity 1.3.12 from here: http://audacityteam.org/download/beta_windows

Re: Not playing .flac
320kbps MP3s are capable of excellent, but not quite perfect copies of WAV files. A WAV file converted to FLAC and then back to WAV will produce an exact copy of the original WAV file - the conversion to and from FLAC format is "lossless" (perfect). A 320kbps MP3 file will be smaller than ...

Re: Importing Audio file
For help with C-Dex, see here: http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/?q=support
Once you have extracted tracks from your CD with C-Dex as WAV files, open Audacity and from the "File" menu select "Import > Audio".
Navigate to your WAV file, select it and press the "OK" button.
