Re: Meta data not exported with wav files

Although metadata is not part of the WAV specification, it is not specifically prohibited and some metadata information can be included in WAV files. However, very few programs support metadata information in WAV files and will not display such information. Audacity supports "Artist, track titl...

Re: Very frustrating problem.

The AT2020 microphone does require phantom power.

Re: How to Layer Background Music to Speaking audio

Now i want to add background music File menu > Import > Audio I want to control the volume at which it plays at different times and how the music gradually fades in and out (at different volume levels) to the speaking portion. You can do this manually using the "Envelope Tool". The Envelo...

I can record onto an arbitrary position on the third track by clicking on the third track to set the cursor position and then clicking the record button with the shift key held down. Re: dolby b and c

The first candidate for excessive speed variation is a build up of tape residue on the pinch roller (the little black rubber roller than pinches the tape against a metal spindle). The spindle and pinch roller can be cleaned with a little alcohol on a lint-free cloth. Take care not to get alcohol on ...

Re: network drives...

What do you mean by "buying a voice recorder"? This is a regular event. We do it twice a week. So if there is hardware/software that we should invest in, that is a possibility. I use a Zoom H2 portable recorder. With a 2 GB memory card it will record about 3 hours of stereo CD quality aud...

Re: Sound Card Reviews

Thank you for the three very informative posts R_G_B. Unfortunately, you may still then need to compile a private version of Audacity with ASIO to get the 24-bit recording capability (or use an ASIO-capable program like Sonar LE which is supplied with the UA-1G device). It may be worth mentioning he...
