Re: AK5371 Device Issue
Try booting into "Safe Mode" with the USB device disconnected from the computer and in the Device Manager remove each instance of the AK5371 driver. Reboot the computer normally with the USB device still disconnected and check in the Device manager that all other drivers are functioning co...

Please avoid typing in upper case - it is generally thought to represent "shouting" and is less likely to encourage useful replies.
Typing in complete sentences with complete English words is also beneficial for your readers.

Re: playback through usb audio codec versus stereo
Does this have anything to do with the 32-bit 16-bit differences of the 44100 hz versus the other options? Re: Audacity stops recording at 36 seconds
Sorry about the delay replying - (not "sorry" really, I've had a lovely vacation :) ) The initial problem sounds as if your system/sound card is right on the edge of being able to cope with the necessary data throughput. In "the old days", computers were too slow and too little R...

Re: dropdown list
On Vista it is highly recommended that you use Audacity 1.3.12
(I would also highly recommended using 1.3.12 on other operating systems).
Regarding this specific problem, see here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Windo ... ng_sources

Re: Japanese in 1.3.12-beta?
The availability of languages is dependent on whether there are volunteers available to create the translation files. As far as I'm aware there are currently no Japanese translators, though if you or your wife think that you may be able to help with this, see here: http://audacityteam.org/community/...
