Re: Audacity suddenly not opening after years of working
You could try resetting your Audacity Preferences http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Audacity_Preferences#Resetting_Preferences_to_defaults_2 If that does not work, the Mac guys are going to want to know exactly what sort of Mac you have and exactly which version of Audacity. For the Audacity version...

Re: Youtube: record what you hear or extract audio after sav
I've discovered another option. There are web sites/applications out there where you simply paste in a Youtube URL and wait maybe 45 to 60 seconds, during which time the app strips the audio and then reports back with a link through which you can download the audio portion as an mp3. Re: MP3 & Tracks (not Audacity Tracks)
What I suppose I seek is some way of inserting a marker of some kind that will stay with the MP3 export & that a player like Windows Media Player or Real Player etc. would be able to see as a separate song. Or is this something that is just not possible with MP3 files, MP3 files always have a s...

Re: Youtube: record what you hear or extract audio after sav
In terms of sound quality there is not much difference - the sound quality on YouTube is not particularly good, and remains not particularly good whichever method is used. I would expect that method 2 should be slightly better, though I can't say that I find it noticeably better. Method 2 is certain...
