Re: Adjusting the BPM of a track
If it could be possible to stretch a track using mouse over somehow, you could see it invision and align 2 tracks perfectly. Gotcha - you can do that in some programs (such as Acid Pro at a mere $250) but unfortunately Audacity can't. To do it in Audacity you need to do a bit of the working out you...

Re: White Noise/Feedback During Recording
It's almost certainly to do with your sound card, and most likely just a setting that needs changing.
What sort of sound card are you using?

HowTo: Remove dither noise from silence
Background: It is very common (and the default in Audacity) for 16 bit files to be exported with dither noise applied. Depending on the type of dither used, the noise may be added to absolute silence as well as non-silent audio (Triangle and Shaped dither add noise to silence. Rectangle dither does...

Re: Noise Gate
Quite a lot of changes so we've skipped a version. Most of the changes are to the help files, but there are also a couple of significant changes in the code. Gate to absolute silence: This is the main new feature in version 2.4 To "gate to silence" set the "Level Reduction" to be...

Scroll bars on Nyquist text output window

It would be nice if it was also resizeable and could do word wrap. This is in addition to the feature request for HTML links as it would be useful f...

Re: Hey Advice for removing a sound please
No problem Trebor. If the clicks are too long for "Repair" then your suggestion of cutting out the click manually and then applying Repair to where the edit was made will do the trick.

Re: operator error (windows 7)
Audacity is a free open source project and there are no resources to provide telephone support.
What do you mean "nothing"? Does the Audacity program open? Any error messages?eclipse2406 wrote:I did the download and install and still nothing.

or if it's a small click (less than 128 samples) just apply the Repair effect to the click.Trebor wrote:Could try using "Repair" (in Audacity "Effect" menu) on the join where you have deleted the bit from the "graph" (a.k.a. waveform).
