Re: How to move tracks along the time line?
If the user can compile Audacity and does not want a lot of error checking it is probably not hard. Otherwise, an external scripting tool (I recommend AutoIT3--it is free, powerful and reasonable to learn) would work best. Edgar is replying here to a question that I asked him: "How easy/diffic...

Re: Mach5 LightSpeed...??
I knew the 400% increase in tempo wasn't going to work b/c it's too fast/distorted to hear anything clearly Ha! You did ask for "Mach5 Light-Speed" :D How about increase the Tempo by 100% and then slow down by -50%. after some Einsten-like mathematical calculations lol. Yes it's counter-i...

Re: How to move tracks along the time line?
Can I select a track and instead of using the time shift too Yes you can, (though most people find dragging with the Time Shift Tool to be easier). so now it looks like this: Track 1 XXXXXXX Track 2 XXXXXXX Track 3 XXXXX Track 4 XXXXXXXXX etc.. I need to edit it to look like this: Track 1 XXXXXXX T...

Re: Different Hz and/or float???
My guess is that you are using Audacity 1.2.6 and you are pasting the clips with a sample rate of 22050 Hz into a track that is either set to 44100 Hz or already has some audio in it that is at 44100 Hz. You can't do that. Audacity 1.2.x does not support multiple sample rates in the same track. 1) Y...

Re: Exporting WAV's 16/24/32 bit?
(even if the files are 16-bit)? I'm a little confused by that statement - by default Audacity works in 32 bit (and that format is displayed beneath the track name on the left side of the track. If the Audacity tracks are 32 bit, then exporting as 32 bit is the highest possible quality. To export as...

Re: Where is latency correction?
There is no latency correction adjustment in Audacity 1.2.5 - you need Audacity 1.3.12 (yes I know it says 'beta', but it's very nearly the new 2.0 and 1.2.5 is well past retirement age).

Re: Delete between labels
That's really nice Edgar, and I can certainly see it being useful. However there is a much easier way than the first method that you described, though not as easy as your new Ctrl+Shift+D. You use "Stop Here", search around a little bit and find the exact start point at which you wish to s...
