Re: @@@@*****Join Split Deletes All At Once...??
I chose split delete b/c I needed the labels to stay on point/in alignment with the audio...if I just deleted - the label's would be off track/out of sync with the audio... If you select both the audio track that you want to edit, and the label track, then you can delete and the labels will move al...

Re: Turntable Feature for listening without recording
I use Audacity to listen to my USB turntable. Doesn't the turntable have a regular "analogue" output designed specifically for the purpose of listening to records without the need to route it through recording software? If the problem is that you do not have a sufficient number of audio i...

Re: @@@@*****Join Split Deletes All At Once...??
If I understand you correctly it begs the question, why did you use Split Delete rather than just Delete ? You can "shrink" the spaces using "Truncate Silence" in the Effect menu. To delete only the "white space" between your "takes", set the "threshold&q...

Analysing the frequencies in a piece of classical music is an extremely complex task. This shows the frequencies in just one single piano note: screenshot.png What you need is to know the "fundamental frequencies" (the base frequencies without any harmonics) of the notes in the tune (melod...

Re: Delete between labels
The problem is that after creating a labeled region (with linking ON) the chains in the WT are NOT drawn Isn't that because the chains are not shown within a selected region? I think it would be less confusing if the chain background was visible on selected regions as well as unselected regions. (p...

Re: Delete between labels
I think that is what is intended, though I would have thought that the link-shading should be drawn on white space in audio tracks.Edgar wrote:[aside 2 I see another bug--the draw refresh rectangle is not calculated correctly all the time when linking is on:]

Re: Delete between labels
I would tend to go with *useful* over *consistent*, providing that it's not going to fall over when linking (or some other feature) has been developed further. Unfortunately I think it is necessary to also throw into the equation "what happen when you click on a labels text". When there ar...

Re: New Plug-In: Transmorpher
I tried with the following settings:
Slow Morpher = 100
change = 1000
..
Transmorpher = 100
everything else at default values.
Should that create a pitch shift of -10 semitones?

Re: settings for rec from U-phono?
Compressing the dynamic range is a method commonly employed to make sound louder . A high degree of dynamic compression is frequently used on commercial CDs due to the fashion for loud CDs. By reducing the dynamic range (the range from quite parts of the music to loud parts), the music as a whole ca...
