It appears that the "Adding Features to Audacity" has reached the quota for attachments.
I've started a new topic specifically for the "links over white space" and used remotely hosted images.

Showing linked white space.
This topic currently refers to the alpha version of Audacity only. It also relates to the discussion in this topic: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=38888 When Sync-lock is on, selecting part of one track will show "link tiles" around the waveform on other tracks that...

Re: Delete between labels
Yes, though the sync-lock icon in the Track Panel tells you those unselected tracks are sync-locked. I know that - but it still catches me out repeatedly and I'm sure I'll not be the only one. When I'm busy working on a creation, I want it to be obvious what is going to happen when I press this but...

You would probably be best to contact indamixx re. the other questions. They will know what they've done, but we don't.

Re: Help with Audacity compiled with ASIO support
Excellent, and congratulations again.
If you have time it would probably be helpful for others if you could offer any tips from what you have accomplished. (I use mostly Linux, so compiling Audacity with ASIO is not something I would do).
PS - moved this to the 1.3 board

Re: Short freezes right after pressing the play, & record bu
It's taken Ubuntu a long time to get their release of Audacity right. The only way that I could get Audacity to work correctly in Ubuntu 8,04 was to build WxWidgets from a Nightly Snapshot tarball, and then download Audacity from cvs (as it was then - now the source code uses svn) and build Audacity...

Re: Help with Audacity compiled with ASIO support
Amazingly, I have a functional program. Congratulations. From what I've seen of compiling on Windows that's no mean feat. Since it's easy to overlook little details like posting a question about Audacity 1.3.13 in the Audacity 1.2 part of the forum... ( sorry, I couldn't resist ;) but no worries, I...

Re: Overdub Problem
I think that the problem you are having is due to a data bottleneck. Somewhere in the system the "throughput" of data is just too slow to allow the data to go in both directions (playback from the hard drive and record to the hard drive) at the same time. If this is the case, then problem ...
