Re: Separate Stereo Mixer and Mic?

I want to record the game with it's sound into the video file, Fraps is supposed to able to do that without the need for other hardware/software. Re: Multitrack recording - direct to Audacity or external de

Is it planned to add support for multi-channel output to Audacity? That would be a feature I REALLY would like to see... It an often requested feature that the developers are well aware of, but I guess it's also a pretty major development project, so I doubt that anyone will be keen to start messin...

Re: First post--transfer question

I have posted this in "recording techniques" but I suppose it should be here?? Topic moved. It is sometimes possible to connect the headphone output from a cassette player to the "mic in" socket on a laptop, but sometimes it does not work and there is a possibility of damaging t...

Re: Add Waveform Options to Isochronic Modulator Plug-in

Here's some code that will produce a wavetable with a 50% sine pulse. Note that unlike the other wavetables this one is all in the positive half of the waveform, so you don't need (mult 0.5 (sum 1.0 ..... )) in the "sweep" function. (setq duration 0.5) (abs-env (progn ;; half sine wave ;(s...

Re: Add Waveform Options to Isochronic Modulator Plug-in

The "Pulse Width" code will not work with the other waveforms. The way that it works with the "Square wave" is that the code creates a custom waveform: (pwl ft 1 (- pw ft) 1 (+ pw ft) -1 (- 1 ft) -1 1 0) This simply creates a line that goes up, then along a bit, then down, then a...

Re: CANT HEAR BEAT WHEN I RECORD !?

Can you hear music played in Audacity after you have recorded it?
If you can, then at the bottom of the "Transport" menu select "Overdub".

Please don't double post.
If you're using Audacity 1.3.12 on Windows, please post in that forum. I've moved your other post here: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 26&t=39724

A lot of Skype users have that problem because Skype changes their sound card settings.

Re: Can't hear recordings

I bought the audacity set from an offer in the Daily Mail. As far as I'm aware the only things that Audacity sells are Audacity T-shirts and Audacity Mugs (available through the on-line store http://audacityteam.org/community/donate ). The main "business" of Audacity is to produce free op...

Re: Sound gets staticky converting voice with music under to

It may be due to the sound quality being degraded by the MP3 compression, or it could be that the combination of voice + music is causing the mix to get too loud and distort. How does it sound if you export as WAV? If you still get the poor sound quality could you upload a couple of seconds to the f...
