The language is "Nyquist", which is derived from the XLisp dialect of LISP.

As a matter of interest, did you notice any ill effects of having labels before zero, or are they just ignored?

Amplify to 0 dB, and if it's not loud enough, increase the playback volume of your sound card or speakers. I'd call it an "unintended feature". It's the same "feature" as described by Gale. In the test described; the end of the silence is detected at approximately t=0.047 the label is then placed 0.08 seconds before this, which is at approximately t= -0.033 I think an "enhancemen...

Yes, clipping is a severe form of distortion. With most types of sound the distortion is very obvious and unpleasant.

A WAV or AIFF file in 24/192 format should be compatible with Audacity and play automatically. If you have problems with it, try Audacity 1.3.12.
