Re: SilenceFinder V1.1 can place labels before 0 on the time
Looking at the other built-in Analyze plug-ins, Regular Interval Labels can place a label before zero if you prefix "Time to place first label" with a minus (that could be done in error given "-" is next to "0" on keyboards). If we don't allow labels before zero in Sil...

I think you've put the question clearly. Unfortunately I'm unable to assist with an answer.rollo wrote:If anyone here can help by adding a slightly more coherent explanation of what I'm asking,

Re: Windows 7 Pro 64bit - Play and Record Stalling
On a drive that's how big? That may be the problem. Systems people recommend putting the operating system on a relatively small fast hard drive like maybe 20GB or 40GB. Then you put the actual data on the 2.5TB second or external hard drive. Yes there can be performance benefits to having the syste...

Re: Error opening project. Not well formed invalid token at l
If you are still getting the same error message, delete that entire line - there are invalid characters in the "Artist" field of the id3 tags of the Sounddogs file that you have imported.

Re: Error opening project. Not well formed invalid token at l
The error is here: <tag name="ARTIST" value="ÀhÌload Sound Effects - SoundDogs - Coll Anderson Sound EFX _SDC"/> Change it in a text editor to something like: <tag name="ARTIST" value="load Sound Effects - SoundDogs - Coll Anderson Sound EFX _SDC"/>

Re: Permanently increase Gain?
Have you looked in your sound card settings to see if you can increase the recording volume? On many computers there is an option to boost the microphone input by an additional 20 dB.

Re: Weird oscillation recording from mixer
It's without many knobs or whistles but for a straight line level in/out sound card it's great value for money. It's important that whatever you use to feed the signal into the UCA-202 has an adjustable output (for example a mixing desk) as the UCA-202 does not have a volume control and it is possib...

It's a new one for me, but perhaps it would be worth checking that the sound card drivers are the latest that are available.

Re: Recording volume control and playback speed
I am sure it was not like this in the past I think you're right about that, but half the time it didn't work. The sound system in Debian based Linux has been a rapidly moving target over the last few years, but at last it seems to be coming together. I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 which is probably similar ...

Re: Muffled Recording when recording from Computer
If it is supported by your computer, you would probably get a better quality recording by recording from "Stereo Mix". Unfortunately many modern Windows computers, and virtually all Macs do not directly support recording from Stereo Mix, however there are some workarounds if that is the ca...
