Re: Multi-tracking goes out of sync

As the load on your computer is increasing (with more audio tracks, thus more data to push through) your sound card is slowing down so the tracks are going out of synch. Re: finding the db

You need to be more specific lenny. Do you mean the average (RMS) dB, the peak dB, the A-weighted dB, or some other dB.
If you're not sure which is the "right" dB, perhaps you could say why you want to know the "dB" then we may be able to work out "which" dB you need.

Re: Alesis Multimix USB multichannel inputs

The number of channels available at one time depends on both the hardware and the drivers. Re: Camtasia wav file

e above message is preceded by a " FFmpeg not found". I installed the library, but this message persists. I presume that you are using Audacity 1.3.12 - if not, you need to upgrade. Go to "Edit menu > Preferences > Libraries" If FFmpeg is installed correctly it will tell you the...

Re: TRACK MENU (WHERE IS IT )

Audacity 1.2 does not have a Track menu.

I'd recommend upgrading to Audacity 1.3.12 which you can download from here: http://audacityteam.org/download/

Re: Deleting Temporary Files

Forget Audacity 1.2, it's known to have problems on Windows 7 and Vista. The version that you should be using is 1.3.12 (the "12" is important - look in the Audacity "Help menu > About Audacity" to check you have the correct version). Tell us a bit about your set-up. How much fre...
