Re: rounding error on label import
Here is a screen shot of 1.3.12 importing my test label file. ... The cursor in the audio track was placed with "snap-to CDDA frames" and reports "58,800" in the selection bar. With the imported label selected you can see that the selection bar reports "58,799", even t...

Re: Weird chirping sounds and problems selcting points on tr
We can't hear the chirping sound on your computer and we can't see over your shoulder, so you need to paint a mental image for use. Describe in detail what you are doing.
What precisely do we need in way of equipment and what steps do we need to take to reproduce the problem?

Re: rounding error on label import
Comparing the label tracks I get the following sets of data: 5880:5879; 11760:11760; 17640:17640; 23520:23519. What exactly are you doing there? I've also repeated Bills test with Audacity 1.3.12 beta and I get the same results as Bill. I don't see why you don't get the same results. I suspect it's...

Re: Problem with Line in in Ubuntu dual boot iMac
A couple of things to try: 1) There's no guarantee that Linux will report the name of the inputs correctly - If your hardware has a strange configuration (as suggested by Koz) then Linux may incorrectly name the inputs. Try the other inputs that are listed in Audacity Preferences. 2) Try setting Aud...

Re: Beta Record Problem with Line-in
Does anyone on the Audacity team pay attention to this board? Yes - virtually every question is responded to within 24 hours. I am having exactly the same problem with Audacity 1.3.12-beta What operating system? What sort of sound card? What are you trying to record? Exactly what settings have you ...

Re: Applying Gverb Reduces Volume?
Yes, the default settings in G-Verb are rubbish.
See here for some usage suggestions: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/GVerb
I recommend using the "Duplicate and mix together" method.

Re: Loop Play from within selection. (SHIFT+B)
does anyone here like the practice of loop playing the whole track when there is no selection, irrespective of the position of the cursor? It would be far more useful if loop playback could be from the cursor or pointer position. This would not necessarily have to be the default behaviour when pres...

Re: Loop Play from within selection. (SHIFT+B)
Obviously I see the time saving, but what (approximate) time range is it you want to loop? Here's a nice easy example to illustrate: bad penny blues.mp3 The task is to extend the track by about 2 minutes. Select from about 25 seconds to about 1 minute 15 seconds. Press SHIFT+Spacebar. If the "...
