Does Audacity crash (close) or just freeze?

If you apply the process manually (one effect at a time rather than as a chain) does it still fail?

How large are the files that you are processing, and how many files in a batch?
How much RAM has your computer got?
How much free disk space?

Could you post a short sample (just a couple of seconds will be sufficient) in either WAV or FLAC format (Flac format preferred).
