Re: Loop Play from within selection. (SHIFT+B)
If you feel hesitant to apply manually, I'm working on a copy so I've been bold :) Applied the patch and built without errors. Unfortunately it does not quite do what I need. The main problem is that after playing from the cursor to the end of the label there is a brief pause (just a little stutter...

Re: Loop Play from within selection. (SHIFT+B)
Steve, are you the one who DLed L2C v2? If so, does it do what you want? Just trying it now, but I'm getting an error when applying the patch: $ patch -p0 < LoopFromCursor2.patch (Stripping trailing CRs from patch.) patching file src/Menus.cpp (Stripping trailing CRs from patch.) patching file src/...
Re: Cables
It's highly unlikely (but not impossible) that the USB port on the keyboard will carry audio. It is very common for keyboards to have USB MIDI (often in addition to the conventional round DIN plugs) but I don't recall ever seeing a keyboard with USB audio. If this keyboard does send audio down the U...

Re: Creating MP3 with searchable tracks
How do I create tracks on my MP3, so that listeners can skip between them on their MP3? You need to split the recording into a number of different files. Typically this would be one file per "song", but as your recording is spoken word you may want to split it into paragraphs/chapters/5 m...

Re: Truncate Silence unstable
Does Audacity crash (close) or just freeze?
If you apply the process manually (one effect at a time rather than as a chain) does it still fail?
How large are the files that you are processing, and how many files in a batch?
How much RAM has your computer got?
How much free disk space?

Re: weird buzzing
Could you post a short sample (just a couple of seconds will be sufficient) in either WAV or FLAC format (Flac format preferred).
See below the "compose message" window on the forum to Upload a file.

Re: Cables
I scanned a picture of the Connector panels but can not seem to copy it here. If the image file is less than 2MB in size then you can use the "Upload Attachments" feature (just below the "compose message" box). After it has uploaded there is an option to "place in-line"...

Re: FLAC in Private Mail
Flac files may be posted to the forum and I think that the size limit is 2 MB.

Good idea. +1

Re: "Wave Stats" plug-in
Thanks for the feedback scaud. The "bell sound" is not in the plug-in - there is a setting in Audacity to "beep on completion of longer activities". It may be switched off in "Edit menu > Preferences > Interface". Also suggest putting the maximum length to analyze setti...

Re: Isochronic Modulator Plug-in
Plug-In Installation To install new plug-ins, place them in the Plug-Ins folder inside the Audacity installation folder. On Windows computers, this is usually under "Program Files". On Mac OS X, it is usually under "Applications". Restart Audacity, then the Plug-ins will appear u...
