Yes you can, though it might be a bit fiddly to get it just right.

Assuming that there is only one version of the LCS-1060 I think I've found what I'm looking for.
The two plugs on the speakers should be pink and green.
Could the "orange" plug that you mention be "pink"?

Where do you plug in your microphone?

Go into "Edit Menu > Preferences > Devices" and try changing the "Host" setting. (make a note of what it is currently set on in case you need to revert back).

Do you think that latency issue I mentioned in my last post is connected to this whole debacle? Yes I think it's another symptom of the same problem, and in a way it is quite encouraging. There's a good chance that this is connected with your speakers, so if you could post the information requested...

Check which version of Audacity you have (Help menu > About Audacity). You should be using 1.3.12. If not, you can get 1.3.12 from here: http://audacityteam.org/download/beta_windows Check in the Task Manager - when you close Audacity does it close completely? Are you running in compatibility mode? ...

Unfortunately there is no one clearly defined standard for metadata. Different programs do it in different ways. If your main program for metadata is MM, then use that for the tagging.

What sort of speakers are you using (make and model if possible)?
How are they connected to the computer?
