The USB cable provides a MIDI connection to the computer, not an audio connection.
If you wish to record the sounds in Audacity you need to make an audio connection. This would normally be done by connecting an audio output from the synth to the line input of your computer sound card.

What do you mean exactly? Do you mean that the track plays through really fast as a screeching sound, or do you mean that part of it plays correctly and then it does something else?
