Items in the Tracks menu act on tracks.
Items in the Edit menu act on the selected audio.
The "Duplicate" command acts on the selected audio. (Effectively it does: "Copy" then "Paste to new track")

That depends on how much backward compatibility Apple break this time. If Bug Sur is backwardly compatible with Catalina, then no problem.

So I presume that you also have the song as an audio file.

Import that file into Audacity and apply the "Reverse" effect.
