Re: Stereo recording windows 7
That could perhaps be a slightly misleading synopsis. Most users of Win 7 are able to record in 2 channel stereo. That is not to say that your issue is not a Win 7 problem (though to me it sounds more likely to be a hardware/driver problem) but Windows 7 with fully supported hardware can record in s...

Re: Submit your EQ Curves
Re. error checking, I think that it's worth taking into account the "target audience". With some types of plug-ins (such as this one, my "wave stats" and "sample printer"), these are "technical" plug-ins that are only of interest to "geeks", who shou...

Re: PLEASE HELP.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Audacity itself only supports a very limited range of audio formats (partly due to licensing restrictions). To overcome this limitation, Audacity 1.3.12 is able to use an add-on program called "FFMpeg" which greatly increases the range of file formats that it can import and export. To impo...

Re: Tips on mixing hip hop music with audacity?
I can click the quick mix feature and that puts the vocals and beat together Once the tracks have been "put together" (mixed) there are a lot more limitations to what processing you can do. It is generally better to keep the vocals and the beats in separate tracks so that you can process ...

For this line: old left - old right(3dB down) + 15ms delay - 10dB = new left surround I assume he means to bring the right channel down 3db, invert it, combine it with the old left, add a 15ms delay, then bring it down 10db He's not been very clear with that line, (and I'm not an expert with surrou...

Re: How do you get beats to match up
Yes you can, if you don't mind cutting out the cross-fade and making a new cross fade from the remaining (slightly shorter) audio. To make a cross-fade you need to position the two parts that are to be cross-faded on different tracks so that they overlap a bit, then fade one out through the overlap ...

Re: "DISK SPACE REMAINING TIME FOR RECORDING yy minutes"
I will download the defragger, (hopefully it will not take much disk space lol) and then I will delete the Acrobat reader I'd recommend making more free space before you try defragging. Definitely empty your trash and browser cache before defragging. With a 11 GB drive, for Windows you should alway...

Re: "DISK SPACE REMAINING TIME FOR RECORDING yy minutes"
Where would I find Foxit (that substitutes Acrobat reader)? http://tinyurl.com/dgmj5h it eventually stops at 60% saying that it cannot go further, I do not know why, Probably because you do not have enough free disk space. Windows XP has a defragmentation utility built in, but you will probably nee...

And I was obviously wrong about this being a know issue No I think you were probably right, just missing some details. I'm not sure about Media Monkey (I don't use it) but it is a known issue that not all fields are supported by all programs. Many programs do not show the comment field, and some (c...
