If a plugin hasn't been created to do this yet, I'd like to see one made, For the specific case of widening stereo there is as Bill has said, the "stereo butterfly" effect. For a more versatile effect there is the "Channel Mixer" plug-in here: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewt...

Re: Headphone recommendations wanted
These are great value for money http://www.thomann.de/gb/the_tbone_hd880.htm I doubt that the sound quality will be up to the standard of the AKG K-240, but they're a small fraction of the price and sound much better than one would expect in this price range. I also find them well padded and comfort...

Short WAV files (up to 1 MB) can be uploaded directly to the forum using "Upload Attachment" (see the tab below the message composition box).
Probably only need one sample unless Sound Recorder gives significantly different results to Audacity.

Comb filtering could be added to the Nyquist code with either of these commands: (scale 0.6 (sim (mult s (hzosc 35))(at-abs 0.003 (cue (mult s (hzosc 35)))))) (comb (mult s (hzosc 35)) 0.1 150) The first example does exactly as Trebor describes and mixes the processed sound with a copy that is delay...

With Audacity 1.3.12 if you also install FFMpeg most WMA files will be supported without needing to convert them first.
See here for installing FFMpeg for Audacity: http://manual.audacityteam.org/index.ph ... tallffmpeg

Re: Audacity doesnt play randomly... 1.3.12
seems when i close my browser etc. it works. In the past there have been problems with Flash plug-ins interfering with Audacity. I notice that recently there have been updates to the Adobe Flash plug-ins on Windows - I wonder if that is what's causing the problem? Which web browser do you use? Do y...

Re: OSS and Ubuntu 10.10
Why would anyone be using OSS, or do you mean OSS4 ?
OSS is not an available option in Audacity 1.3.12 (beta) on Ubuntu 10.10
I've not tried any version of Audacity earlier than 1.3.12 beta as this is the version in the Ubuntu 10.10 repository.

If you upgrade to Audacity 1.3.12 the settings in the built-in Equalizer effect can be saved.
