Re: Not Recording
That looks like you have a "feedback loop". If you are recording "Stereo Mix" then "Software Playthough" must be off.

Re: Time stamp information in Audacity
There are a lot of factors that will affect the precise time that Audacity will start recording (and not all of them are in Audacity). I would suggest taking an alternative approach to the problem: Set your sound cards to record "Stereo Mix" (http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Mixer_Toolbar...

Re: reording problems
See this article in the Audacity wiki - it shows how to set your computer sound card to record sounds that are playing on the computer http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Mixer_Toolbar_Issues#Using_the_Control_Panel For sound cards that do not directly support "Stereo Mix" recording the arti...

Re: add-on?
im guessing there is a metronome or some time correcting dealy... Some music programs have a feature called "Time Quantize" (often just called "Quantize") that automatically adjusts slightly-out-of-time notes so that they play exactly on-the-beat. "Quantize" is a commo...

Re: Recording BBC Radio programmes
Are you trying to record the radio program as it plays in your web browser? Does your sound card have a loudspeaker icon down near the Time/Date on your Desktop? (probably looks like a loudspeaker). Re: Exported File Produces No Sound
Try this:
Set the Project Rate to 44100 (lower left corner of main Audacity Window)
Then from the File menu select "Export"
Set the File Format to "WAV (Microsoft) signed 16 bit PCM"
Give the file a unique name using only letters and numbers.

Do you really prefer that people will go through the hassle of searching the tool in Google The moderators currently have to deal with around 50,000 spam posts per year so as to keep this forum a useful and pleasant place for Audacity users. Many of the spam posts contain links to viruses, trojans,...

Re: Submit your EQ Curves
I've been looking at the same issue on XP but I'm also puzzled by it. The situation is different on Linux (and I presume Mac OS X also) because Linux has proper access permissions for all files and folders. Normal users do not have permission to write outside of their home directory unless they are ...
