Re: Importing .fxp files with VST plugin settings
Another possibility would be to offer Audacity as a VST plugin, so it could get loaded and chained in hosts like VSTHost or other music software. Don't know whether this would be possible within Audacity's licence, or whether it would be even technically feasible, especially under MAC/Linux. It wou...

Re: Recording BBC Radio programmes
how do I import/copy the screen shot into a post to you? "Save" the picture to your Desktop, then, when you send a reply to the forum, look under the "compose message" box and there is a tab that says "Upload attachment". That will provide you with the option to browse...

Re: Quick step by step how to record from screen

Unfortunately this happens a lot. It's not a misprint, it's just a couple of years out of date.Raymond wrote:The user guide for the record player that I purchased instructed to use Audacity 1.2.6.
Good luck with Audacity 1.3.12 - let us know how you get on.

Re: Ubuntu 10.10, Audacity 1.3.12 Beta, & Freeverb issue
My assumption is it is "LADSPA Computer Music Toolkit". I believe the package in Ubuntu 10.10 is "cmt". I think that's the same one that I've got on Ubuntu 10.10 32 bit, and although I don't get the same problem that you are describing, it does not appear to be completely stable...

or uninstall Ubuntu-supplied FFmpeg? What appeared to happen (not 100% certain about this)... I first tried the nightly FFmpeg while the default Ubuntu build of FFmpeg was still installed, FFmpeg (Ubuntu build) was auto detected, but I could override that by selecting the new .SO file (built in my ...

Re: Airplane in the background... how to remove it?
You can remove the low rumbling using either a high-pass filter, or the Equalization effect to reduce all frequencies below about 150 Hz. There's not much more that you can do without causing significant damage to the sounds that you want to keep. The Equalization effect is a lot better in Audacity ...
