Re: Equalizer
Funnily enough there is another conversation on the forum discussing the question of whether the Equalization effect is too complex. See this topic http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=45662 You will find (toward the end of the topic) a Nyquist "tone control" plug-in. Thi...

Re: Tone control plug-in
The changes look good. "RAM" vs. "memory" is debatable as some tools in Windows include swap memory when referring to "memory", but on balance "memory" may be generally more user friendly. "32 bit " vs. "32-bit" - you know I'd never even co...

Re: Binaural Tones with Surf 2
My preference is for the "old" version. I don't know a lot about how people want to use binaural tones, but I suspect in many cases they would want either a constant beat frequency, or a "sliding" beat frequency that starts at one speed and ends at another. Either of these can be...

Wish List: Generate stereo, mono or no audio track
Currently, "Generate" type plug-ins will automatically create a mono audio track unless an existing audio track is selected. There are occasions when this is not appropriate, for example "apropos.ny" (which does not generate audio) and "binaural tones" (which generates ...

Re: Help/ Error Screens with multiple selected tracks
There are different types of error. In the case of Nyquist errors, Nyquist will quit on the first error. For example, if you have a mix of mono and stereo tracks in a project and run the following on all tracks: (print (snd-srate s)) Nyquist will generate an error and quit on the first stereo track ...

The temp folder must exist.
Check that after you have selected it, it is correctly written in the Directories tab of Preferences. Then click "OK", then restart Audacity.

Re: Trackpanel
You are overloading the sound card input. My guess is that you are plugging a CD player or some other device with a relatively high output level into the microphone socket of your computer (probably a laptop PC), but because the microphone input is expecting a really tiny signal from a microphone, i...
