Re: Music sounds like in a box
Which brings us 'round to the amount of effort versus downloading the music from iTunes and burning CDs from that. Or going out and buying the CDs. but it can be a lot of fun doing it - getting out all those old records again - those scratches and crackles aren't just "noise", they're mem...

Re: Convert mp3 with sample rate 24000Hz to 44100Hz
The sound quality of a 64 kbps file will be fairly poor if you start with a stereo track in Audacity (as this will produce a stereo MP3, so the bit rate of each channel will be a lot less than 64 kbps). However, if you have a mono track in Audacity, this will produce a mono MP3 and the sound quality...

Re: I got the message Could not open MP3 encoding Library!
Yes it does sound a bit crazy, but in some cases it does help. For the vast majority of users, installing Lame works first time (out of the box) but for various reasons it can fail for a few users. This only happens to a small minority of people, but it seems that you are in this elite club. If ther...

Re: Audacity killed Skype
Now, what SEEMS to happen is that Audacity interferes with System settings and disables the mic. As you will have gathered, I'm not a Mac person (Windows at work and Linux at home), but I sensed your panic and frustration and I know how frustrating it is when a computer suddenly goes wrong, so I th...

What sort of guitar does he play - acoustic or electric?
Does he sing?
What style?

I Plug the USB thingy to my laptop USB slot, the memorex is plugged into the outlet as well as my computer. That's it, that's all... There are no other plug-in's. Nice and simple, what could possibly go wrong. Oh yes, that's what we need to find out isn't it. How do you listen to sound playing on y...

Re: Clipping or Distortion on Vocal High Notes of Ripped Aud
So the DVD sounds good.
....
The edited DVD rip has distortion on the high notes.
What I'm interested in is the "...." between the two.
Do you still have the original unedited DVD rip (please say you kept a backup
)
What format is that in, and how does it sound?
