Re: How to fix partial sample rate speed-up?

howsthisforausername, please check your Audacity version ("Help menu > About Audacity")
What version of Windows are you using?
How and from what are you recording?

Re: New plug-in effect - PopMute

What about looking at the audio level for, say, 10ms either side of the pop, and setting the attenuation to that level? If the effect is being used on one pop at a time, that relatively easy to do. Re: Audacity Adds Hiss to exported WAV

Re: Audacity Adds Hiss to exported WAV

Re: How to identify transcoded files

If the file was carefully transcoded between lossless formats, there will be no way of knowing as the sound quality will be virtually identical to the original. The important part is how it sounds. A first generation conversion from the original to another format can be bad. A second or third genera...

Re: MIDI files, Audacity and Timidity

Macs are widely used for music. Audacity runs on Mac OS X. There's also Garageband. If you're ready with your credit card, Logic and Sibelius are also popular. ProTools is also commonly run on Macs. but before you get upset, a quick glance at the Mac parts of the forum will reassure you that Macs ar...

Wasn't there a "Feature Request" for a "Tool Tip" that displayed the entire track name when the pointer hovered over it?
Can't seem to find it now.

Re: time shift increased amount of sound

I think if both copies are about the same amplitude I'd call it a chorus effect. Closely related to the "flanger" effect, which by curious coincidence is generally attributed to Ken Townsend as the "inventor" while recording the Beatles in 1966, and named "flanger" by ...

Re: PopMute Before and After

This was the "in-the-wild" example: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=49854 Koz has asked previously if there could be a "reverse" of my Noise Gate plug-in for muting pops and raised the question again in that thread. Finally got round to making it: http://fo...
